“Rhode Runner” is a stitch and glue wooden craft reminiscent of the 1950’s style runabouts designed by Chesapeake Light Craft. Brian Daniels built the runabout over the winter of 2023/24 and was launched on May 29, 2024 on beautiful Higgins lake, Michigan.
Wooden sailboat built in 1960. Planking in good shape. Keel needs rebuild. Everything else needs some love for the old boat. No mast. Located in Rowley, MA.
In 2012 Ashley Butler was in Cornwall to be found building two comparable yachts, one for himself and another for a client more or less in parallel, though no surprise that his client’s commission took priority when it came to meeting the completion date.
TULIP is a 25′ gaff rigged knockabout sloop. Classic George Shiverick design. Built in Maine by George Palten 1984. Mahogany planks on oak frames. Centerboard shoal draft. Currently sailing Duxbury Bay where she was designed to be over 100 years ago.
This 16' x 21" [4.9m x 53cm] strip planked kayak is adapted to comfort and responsiveness in active water. The nearly plumb bow and stern provide a long waterline in a compact package, allowing a good turn of speed in manageable size.
This 17' x 20" [5.2m x49cm] strip planked kayak is designed for comfort and speed in rough water. With a lot of capacity for gear, it can be used as an efficient expedition vessel while being fast, quick and fun as a day tripper. It will excel at downwind runs.
Relaunched: Phil Bolger designed Gloucester Light Dory built in 1987 by David Bush guided by ‘Dynamite’ Payson (4 x 16 marine ply, bronze ring-shank nails into red oak chine logs & glass /epoxy).
