STEPHENS 43' Bridge Deck Cruiser 1930 Project Boat NOW FREE

The bridge deck cruiser was built in 1930 by the Stephens Brothers of Stockton California. Frank Buzzell, of the San Francisco area bought the boat for $12,870 and called it Lady Bess.

Its name, ownership and role changed several more times over the years, including a time during world war II as a anti‐submarine net‐tender near San Francisco. It was acquired and brought to Canada in 2006., with the intention to restore the classic yacht. These plans have not come to fruition and the yacht is now offered for sale to someone who would like to restore this yacht to its original condition.

There are several Stephens sister ships which are still in service including, "Seven Bells" in Seattle, "Ceilito" in Miami, Florida and "Compadre" located in Seattle, which were all built in 1929‐30.

The yacht has been stored in a covered boatshed at the Crescent Beach Marina since being trucked to Canada. Included with the hull are original drawings, outline specifications and engine shop manuals.
