Rainmaker 1963 Yawl 39' bright finish
Rainmaker was designed by Naval architect Bill Tripp to compete on the race coarse under CCA rules. She was built at the Jacobson Yard in Oyster Bay NY in 1963. Won its class in the Bermuda race of 1964.
She was constructed using only the best materials of the day. From the day she was built, her hull has always been varnished showing off her gorgeous patina. Her teak decks were relaid using west system epoxy and are in excellent condition. She boasts a double-planked mahogany and teak hull, bronze fastened, with floors, centreboard trunk and board bronze as well. Strong floors and bronze reinforced mast step support her original aluminum mast. An oak keel with laminated stem and forefoot make Rainmaker strong, seaworthy, and a joy to sail. Lift the floorboards and you will see that her keel, frames and floors are in ‘as new’ condition.
