Caledonia Yawl “Elisabeth Grace” was custom built by John S. Anderson Boatyard in St. Andrews, NB, Canada (2004) with unique tiller steering. Her hull and decks are African Kayah mahogany marine grade plywood. Hull is builder-coated epoxy in/out. Keel, framing and structurals are Honduran mahogany. Seating and floors are northern white cedar. Exposed woodwork is finished w/ imported Norwegian Clear Marine Varnishing Oil. Silicon bronze fastenings throughout. Rarely used, always stored indoors or covered underroof. She looks like new. Includes 2 sets of Gambell & Hunter sails, custom bronze stowable outboard bracket (max 3-hp), mountable HF-72 Ritchie compass in custom box, 8 thole pins w/inside storage shelf, 2 sets of 11’ leather chaffing-wrapped ash oars (straight & spoon), like new trailer and tires, dolly, custom padded boat cover, zippered rudder and tiller covers, 2 anchors, original plans plus 100 builder’s pix.

UNIQUE FEATURES INCLUDE fore and aft decks, generous storage under hinged hatches incl. a battery box for each running light, 2 cubbies w/covers, plus 2 mainmast positions for sailing with or w/o the mizzen, removable 6-slat benches, slatted floorboards, two 4’ high “false masts” with openings in the cross boards to secure masts and booms for travel, no interior motor well, removable thwart bench, removable rowing seat, modified rudder, mahogany centerboard with 11# lead core, Titan bulkhead bilge pump. Custom tiller that curves around the mizzenmast, support piece for stowing oars. Ready to launch and enjoy. Motor not included. Two Daughters Boatworks’ Geoff Kerr says it looks “very yachty” and that he’s never built one so well appointed, while estimating $50k-60k to replicate it. Located near Sparta, NC. $20,000.
