The idea behind this design was to see how much boat can be squeezed out of a single sheet of plywood 4x8′ (1220 x 2440mm). The resulting boat is suitable for kids to paddle on ponds or very small lakes.
The TRICKY FIVE has been conceived for a precise scope: to realize a boat, which in relation to its size would maximize the ratio between speed and cost. This means that for a determined cost for materials and hours of construction required, it would be the fastest possible.
Tolman Skiffs are thoroughly modern, ocean capable, vee bottom stitch and glue plywood boats with a dory ancestry. These skiffs are designed for Alaskan waters and are ideal for sport fishing, beach camping, cruising and general work or recreation.
