Nick Schade’s line of strip-planked Greenland-style sea kayaks are renowned for sophisticated performance on the water, beautiful lines, and sculptural hull details. But strip-planked boatbuilding is not for everyone.

The classical hull shape of old wooden runabouts of the 70’s combines perfectly well with the use of marine plywood. This allows SILVER 55 to be in the same time elegant and simple to build.

The AC 75 Evolution design input was to crate a trailerable boat with a small displacement, building with traditional materials such as wood. Another request was to have a comfort and an interior volume typical of larger size boats. We have modified the deck lines to achieve these results.

The Oxford Shell™ is a swift, smooth running "recreational" shell suitable for all skill levels. Whether you're just learning how to row a sliding seat shell, or you're a seasoned expert.
