Designed by Joel White, the original boat was built plank-on-frame by Jimmy Steele (of Peapod fame), but no plans were ever drawn-until now.
A handy clipper-bowed centerboard yawl, this boat is a heavily built, smart sailor with sparten accommodations for two.
Construction: Carvel planked over steamed frames

This charming addition to our cradle boat fleet is adapted from a type known as a pram. Prams have transoms at both bow and stern, and are used extensively as tenders for larger vessels because of their roominess in a relatively short length.
The TRICKY FIVE has been conceived for a precise scope: to realize a boat, which in relation to its size would maximize the ratio between speed and cost. This means that for a determined cost for materials and hours of construction required, it would be the fastest possible.
