START 60

The project, despite its small size, develops a discrete internal volume allowing to nr. 4 crew members to spend short cruises with good speed and pleasant navigation.The hull lines and the deck are to corner for simplicity of construction, and are harmonized with the hull volume. The interior with a height of 1.35 mt, offer hospitality to 4 crew members. Double berth in the bow and in dinette 1.90x0.60 mt. The chemical toilet is in the cabin under the cockpit . Between the bunks, we find the small sink to startboard and the kitchen on the left.The sail plan is split with swept back spreaders 20°. The mainsail and jib allow comfortable sailing without having to control sails. The gennaker has been designed for use of the articulated bowsprit.The construction material is CPM Khaya mahogany for the hull, and Okoumè mahogany for deck and interior. Start 60 has a longitudinal structure, with transversal frames consist of bulkheads and ribs so it has a good ratio length/displacement compared with similar size boats.The torpedo can be fixed or movable for transport. The blade is made with a stainless steel box which is attached the lead torpedo.The external rudder with high aspect ratio is in CPM with an aluminum core.
