Sailboats - Cruising

PUCK 550

The PUCK reflects the spirit of the original class which was to create a boat used in regattas but also suitable for coastal cruising, easy to carry and inexpensive.
All of these features are found in PUCK, a boat comfortable and stable, relatively spacious interior (there are 4 berths, one more than the minimum required by class rules), fairly easy to build and therefore economic.

The sail area is the maximum accepted by the class rules, which is reasonable and moderate, but enough to make a boat fun to use. In the race PUCK can compete honorably with many of the series boats but is certainly out of the competition with the racers.
