FIDDLEHEAD

Tom Hill designed this Charlotte lapstrake canoe, named FIDDLEHEAD by builder Bob MacEwen of Brunswick, ME. With a length of 11′6″ and beam of 2′4″, she weighs only 27 pounds. Working from February to June of 2011, Bob epoxied 4mm okoume plywood planking to her Douglas-fir keelson, stems, and gunwales. He plans to explore the waters of Maine with her. Find out more about the Charlotte design at Tom Hill’s website.
