EPONA

With bowsprit and boomkin this Steve Redmond Elver design has a total length of 27'. Built by Gib Sosman over 14 years of part-time work, EPONA was launched on May 29, 2003 on Clinton Lake in Kansas. The hull is western red cedar over a combination of sawn frames and plywood bulkheads, all covered with fiberglass cloth and glued with epoxy. Gib also used meranti, fir, yellow pine, white pine, redwood, rock maple, Honduras mahogany, spruce, Osage orange, and a few others. Contact Gig at jgibsosman@aol.com
