San Francisco Pelican [12 foot] #2925 was launched Dec 12, 2022 at Austin Yacht Club after 1000 hours / 18 months of building. Plans and builders guide were purchased from Duckworks boat building supplies. Built in a traditional manner, Capt. Bill Story’s Pelican [1957] was constructed with Meranti marine plywood, Mahogany, Douglas fir, and farmed Cyprus wood. The boat weighs in at approximately 350 - 390#. Standing lug rig uses 4oz Dacron sails from the Philippines Really Simple Sails.
