SERENA

All we know is that six of this Gillmer type were built at now-defunct Astilleros Carabela in Barcelona, with “ten in the Mediterranean” according to an old pamphlet catalog. SERENA’s plate lists her as #4. The blurb also goes on to say that these Wind and Wave series were “popular in the Newport CA and San Diego area.” We haven’t found a single other one, so if anyone out there knows more please contact me! The former owner found SERENA somewhat derelict in Richardson Bay and undertook restoring her to glory. SERENA has had a long series of loving owners and careful upkeep. Thus far, we know very little of her history prior to about 2010. SERENA is rigged as a cutter. Cozy and warm inside, the workmanship is amazing and we’re looking forward to many adventures!
