PLEIADES

Celebrity Sloop # 513 was manufactured in Holland in 1953. It is molded plywood with spruce spars, nautical bronze hardware and mahogany decking. It was sailed by its owner from 1972 to 1984, and has been in sheltered storage since. The sloop is in good condition, has beautiful details and cabinetry throughout and needs tender love & care.

There are two sets of three sails – jib, genoa and main. One is the original set bought at purchase from P. Evanson Boat Co of Riverside, New Jersey. A second set was made by Ulmer sails.

The original steel centerboard is in excellent condition; a second centerboard in lighter-weight aluminum awaits final finishing of the edges.

The inboard tiller has a rudder designed to fit and match with skeg.

Some years ago, the interior was patched with mahogany and bass aircraft ply.

All hardware is original and there is a complete set of Harken blocks.
