BALIZA

Update shared Feb. 27, 2015, by Charlie Baker: BALIZA is [now] located in San Carlos, Sonora. Mexico. She doesn’t look like this these days. She has been sitting on the hard too long. Could possibly be destroyed soon. WoodenBoat enthusiast may come to her rescue. Strip plank mahogany on oak frames. Built late ’50s by Dittmar and Donaldson in So. Ca. Only 4 built at the time. I was a partial owner many years ago and can testify to the ease of sail, and motorsailing qualities of her design.
