Wooden Canoe Heritage Association Assembly

-

The 33rd annual assembly of the WCHA is a four-day gathering of members, family, and friends to celebrate and enjoy the use of wooden canoes. The public is welcome to view and participate. We expect 400 members and over 300 canoes to be on display. One canoe maker is ‘featured’ each year, and for 2012 it is the Old Town Canoe Company. The assembly has everything from canoe construction and restoration, to paddling and woodcraft skills, to presentations about canoe and canoeing history. There is a full program for kids of all ages as well; families are welcome and encouraged to attend!
