TreeStation Sawn Timber Event

We are Greater Manchester TreeStation, a social enterprise in arboriculture, biomass fuels and timber in Gorton.

We’re having a Sawn Timber Open Evening on Thursday 4th June at 5pm - 8.30pm. We have hundreds of hardwood timber planks at our yard, all milled from British wood — the majority of it felled from our routine arboricultural treework within Greater Manchester. We specialize in providing businesses, craftsmen and hobbyists alike with fantastic quality timber, all locally sourced and kilned in Greater Manchester at a great price. Thanks to our ethics and sustainable sourcing of our timber, and local / on-site kilning (our on-site kiln is powered with our own woodchip), our timber also has a really low embedded carbon footprint, which we’re really proud of!

At our Open Evening, we will have a helpful team ready to show people around our Yard and help them find any specific pieces of timber they may be after, or just to have a chat about any ideas or projects that they want to discuss. We’ll provide light refreshments and snacks for people to enjoy whilst having a browse — and there will be plenty for everyone to have a look at. We’ll have some sample pieces of timber made up so people can appreciate the potential of our hardwood planks and will hopefully inspire some creative ideas! There are potential discounts on some of our prices for everyone to take advantage of on the evening, as well! We will also be hosting a fun “Auction” for some of our more characterful pieces that we think would be fantastic for smaller, interesting projects — so someone could bag themselves a bargain! Not only this, but everyone will go away a little TreeStation trinket, just as a thank you for coming along.
