Reedville Antique & Traditional Small Boat Show

The Reedville Fishermen's Museum & The Tidewater Chapter of the Antique & Classic Boat Society will co-host the 2018 Antique & Traditional Small Boat Show on September 8th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., in Reedville, Virginia. This annual boat show will feature more than 40+ spectacular small boats representing every style such as antique runabouts, classic Chesapeake Bay skiffs, workboats as well as handmade kayaks and canoes. Boats will be presented on land at the museum campus as well as in the water dockside. Owners will bring their pride and joy from far and wide and be available to explain their craft, discuss restoration techniques and boat histories.

In addition, the Reedville Fishermen's Museum will hold a nautical flea market that has become an important stop off for those seeking a good deal on boat parts and other nautical accessories. There will be boats for sale, a vendor market to shop at, music to hear, food to eat and a beer garden for the adults. Best of all, there are free rides on the museum's buy boat, the ELVA C, which will make trips every hour starting at 10:30 a.m. The museum's skipjack, the CLAUD W. SOMERS, will also be available for an afternoon ride at a nominal fee. Both boats are listed on the National Historic Register. Rides are limited to 15 people so make sure to sign up when you arrive.
