MerryMac/Small Craft Regatta #1

The Great Bay Yacht Club MerryMac and Oyster River Cat Small Craft Regatta #1 will be held at Dover Point, New Hampshire, on Sunday, July 26th (regatta #2 will be held Sunday, August 23rd). Small craft are welcome and additional classes will be formed if there are enough boats. There will be a series of informal races followed by a barbeque and awards at the GYYC facility. More details will be posted at www.greatbayyachtclub.org

MerryMacs are 13′6″ hard-chined, marconi-rigged catboats that are beautiful in their simple form and function. An estimated 200 MerryMacs were built by Ned McIntosh in the 1950s and 1960s and many are still sailing today.
