Cruising Club of America Safety at Sea Seminar, Newport RI, Mar 19-20

The March 19-20 Safety at Sea Seminar at Newport RI will provide valuable advice and information for sailors who race to Bermuda, make the return voyage, or sail near shore. Organized by the Cruising Club of America and sanctioned by US Sailing, the seminar will be based at the Marriott Hotel, a new home for this well-established biennial safety event.

Presented by sailors with extensive offshore experience, the topics include heavy weather, safety equipment, seasickness and other medical issues, calling for help, the Gulf Stream, damage control, boat and crew preparation, lessons learned from accidents, man overboard, and equipment and Bermuda Race rules.
