Brown Bag Gam: By Hook or By Crook

This presentation focuses on the lives of the 18th-century female pirates Anne Bonny and Mary Read. These women’s lives, as well as the culture within which they grew up, will be explored to present a better understanding of not just these two women but also the expectations or limitations for all women during the early 18th century.
