ASDEC Calendar 2018 For Vintage & Classic Sailing, Rowing And Motor Boats

12/13 MAY -- MANTUA International meeting for vintage and classic sailing and rowing boats organised by the Vela Classica del Garda Associazion in collaboration with the LNI of Mantua.

Mantua is surrounded by three lakes: the Upper Lake, the Middle Lake and the Lower Lake, all formed from the waters of the Mincio River, an emissary of Lake Garda.
A must, of course, is a visit to the historical centre of this breathtaking, little town to admire the magnificent Ducal Palace, and on the outskirts of town, the Te Palace with is stunning frescos and stuccoes.

18/21 MAY -- VENICE AND HER BEAUTIFUL ISLANDS
International meeting for vintage and classic motorboats
Organised by Asdec.
The “magical city” in three days: we will be travelling along the Venetian lagoon, passing by some of its magnificent islands and along some of the lesser known canals and waterways that this wonderful city has to offer. We will be once again navigating along the Grand Canal at sunset. On Sunday, 20th, the city will be crossed from the famous “Vogalonga”, the traditional rowing boats regatta, 30 Km long, to which will participate around a thousand rowing boats. Last but not least, we will be able to visit some of the oldest and still active boat yards constructors of traditional Venetian boats.

23/24 JUNE -- LAKE COMO, Gravedona - “5.5SI National Championship”
Organised by the friends of the Circolo velico Aval-CDV of
Gravedona, the italian/swiss Championship
The regatta will also include the "Classics" category.

END OF AUGUST -- CINQUE TERRE - Monterosso - “Cinque Terre Vintage Boat”
Meeting for traditional, vintage motor, rowing, saliling boats
Organised by COMIS with the patronage of ASDEC. Date still to be defined
Monterosso is, without a doubt, one of the most famous and picturesque villages of the Cinque Terre National Park. The meeting will be held at the Circolo Velico Monterosso, located in the pretty harbour of “Monterosso al Mare” and will be open to the following types of boat: wooden boats (rowing or outboard motor), classic drift boats in wood or fibreglass that either for design, construction or material, hold a special interest for the nautical world., such as Goiters, Dinghies, Latin Sails, Flying Dutchmen etc

1/2 SEPTEMBER -- LAKE MAGGIORE - Verbano Classic Regatta - “Coppa dei Laghi”
Classic and vintage sailing boats
Organised by the “Circolo Velico Medio Verbano” Association, in collaboration with the “Antique Sailing Boats” Association of Verbano and with the patronage of ASDEC.
Another event included in the “Coppa dei Laghi” Trophy and, with the application of the “Asdec Historic Rating” handicap system.
There will be lots of events, stalls and things to do and see in the pretty, little village of Cerro.

15/16 SEPTEMBER -- SORRENTO - XXX Eduardo de Martino Trophy
Classic and vintage sailing boats
It will be organised by Asso Vela A’Tarchia, from the Marina of Alimuri nautical association and the Italia Nostra section of Sorrento.
The meeting will be open to all wooden sailing boats, launched before December 31, 1991 and/or true replicas, be they for work, pleasure or regattas.
This meeting, with the patronage of ASDEC, will be dedicated to create awareness and in particular, to help salvage and safeguard the maritime heritage of the Sorrento peninsula with its traditional boats, tools and craftsmanship of the native shipwrights, as well as conserving the history of the local sailing boats.

21/23 SEPTEMBER -- BELLAGIO, LAKE COMO – Serbelloni Trophy - “Coppa dei Laghi”
Vintage and classic sailing boats
Organised by the Pescallo Sailing Club, with the collaboration of ASDEC.
As usual, the third weekend of September will be dedicated to the annual edition of the “Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni” Trophy, now in it’s 17th year.
The regatta is open to all vintage, wooden sailing boats built before December 31, 1980 and to classic/traditional sailing boats in wood or fibreglass that either due to design, construction or material, hold a special interest for the nautical world.
