This is the “Sea Rover” from the Science and Mechanics Boat Builder Handbook (circa 1958). This was built over the past 2 years. It is plywood over oak frames. I had actually built the 15′ version of this boat when I was 13 years old.

“SeaBird” is Brownell 26′ hull number 8. Double planked mahogany over white oak framing. White oak keel and lift rails. Plywood deck canvas coated. 2 layers of cold molded fiberglass over planking.

The Boat BW is a trailerable plywood stitch-and-glue skiff. The outboard-powered modified-vee hull with lifting strakes provides an efficient hull that rises on to plane with little-to-no porpoising. The below-deck bulkheaded and sealed compartments provide superb secondary flotation.
