Core Sound Sink Netter style-round stern, Length 32’, Beam 9’, built 1946 Mildon W Willis Boat Works Marshallberg, NC.

Following 60 years of service, the CLARA JOYCE was retired and later placed in boathouse for an extensive overhaul. Cabin and decking removed, she underwent a full rebuild of the hull as well as replacement of aft and side decking. All original fasteners were replaced with galvanized bolts and stainless-steel nails. Majority of ribs were replaced, eliminating any of concern. To fully preserve, the hull was completely epoxy glassed. Keel extremely sound and heavily glassed. Shaft remains in place. All original documentation. In dry storage and available to view by appointment.

The Clara Joyce was owned by my father who worked her for 45 years. Cited in multiple publications as a prominent Core Sound work boat from a treasured period. She was the last of her kind in operation. Life events have prevented completion and am looking to put her in good hands for the final stages.
