Motorboats - Outboard

Mark V 20

The Mark V 20 is a 1920‘s style trailerable cabin cruiser. It weighs under 2,000 lbs empty and can handle up to 50 HP outboard for a top speed of 12 to 14 knots. A 9.9 HP outboard should push it at 6 knots. The cockpit is 6 feet by 6 feet with 6 feet 6 inch headroom under the hard top. The sides of the cockpit can be enclosed with canvas to extend the living area and keep rain out. There are storage compartments on each side of the motor. One of the compartments holds the porti-potti, which can be moved to wherever is convenient for use. A cooler is stored on the other side. There is a drop leaf table at the after end of the cockpit, and folding lawn chairs are used where needed. The cabin has a 7 foot long V-berth. Construction is simple plywood over permanent bulkheads. No lofting is necessary, the dimensions of all frames and bulkheads are given in the plans.  Metric plans are also available
