Oar / Paddle

EGRET

Here is a fine little working type punt that feels at home in the marshlands, as well as the open bay waters. She is 14′-9″ long and was designed around a working load, with a draft of about 3″. The nice flare of her sides gives good stability and the generous beam of 54″ allows for a comfortable 48″ rowing station. A short skeg keeps her tracking when rowing or punting. The decks are well crowned and the coaming will keep you dry in choppy conditions! There are removable floor boards and a storage rack under the afterdeck. The narrow transom offers stability and more displacement if using a small gas or electric outboard. Approximate weight is 200 lbs and she is easily trailable. Primary material calls for a 1/4″ and 3/8″ marine grade plywood and glued epoxy construction is ideal. No full size 2nd steps to take for building. Plans are $150.00 by check or money order and a builders agreement is available for professional builders.
