ALBATROS 26’

ALBATROS 26’ is a seaworthy boat able to safely face sudden weather changes, but its size makes it suited for long trips. The kitchen and the heads are inevitably smaller and the interior lay out is classical, with a V double berth at the bow, a saloon, with a lifting table which allows another double berth and a navigator berth, under the cockpit seats. Even if there are boats on the market that offer more berths than this, we believe it is better to have more space for lockers and closets, rather than overloading the boat with people. Four is the right number of people to stay on an 8 m boat, with reasonable comfort. The boat has a generous sailing area and the lateral plane, though maintaining draft under 1,40 m, is sufficient. Building ALBATROS 26’ in strip planking is a committing task but can be afforded by an amateur boatbuilder with a good skill and a lot of time. More information at: www.bcademco.it
