XIAZE XAWERY

Aleksander Celarek just built this new motor launch, XIĄŻĘ XAWERY, with auxilary sail power. Based on designs of steam launches from the end of the 19th century, it is named after the first steamship that came to Poland from England in 1827.  He built the hull from 18mm marine plywood on oak frames. Powered with 15 square meters of sail and 60-hp diesel engine,  its maximum speed under power alone is 8 knots, and under sail 4 knots.
