MISS CAROLINE

Tammie Norrie 15 foot dinghy
My first boat !

I started her late 2017 but in March 2018 I quit my job and worked on her every day.

She is made of okoume ply and hoop pine with mahogany floor boards and thwart knees and a rosewood transom along with lots of epoxy and screws. Painted in aquacote off white up to the sheer and aquacote clear on the sheer while the interior is finished in Deks Olje no 1. I went for good quality old world bronze fittings to set her off nicely.

Today she quietly went down the boat ramp with a few onlookers and she took her place beautifully in the water with not one drop of water leaking in!

In time I'll fit a sloop rig to her and am looking at some of the new self contained electric outboards.
