FLYING ZUCCHINI
Wayne Kaler built this 11′6″ Car Topper skiff designed by Phil Bolger, in an airplane hangar in Oakland, California. Fittingly, he called it FLYING ZUCCHINI. He enjoyed sailing and rowing the boat on San Francisco Bay. Then Wayne moved to Long Island, New York, towing the FLYING ZUCCHINI across the country behind him. Soon after, he met his future wife; they married at the Long Island Maritime Museum, and rowed away from the reception in the FLYING ZUCCHINI. They enjoyed many boating expeditions on the Great South Bay, until FLYING ZUCCHINI was stolen from its marina.
