CHRISTABEL
CHRISTABEL is an Acorn 15, Whitehall style pulling boat, designed by Iain Oughtred. I built her as a sister ship to EMMELINE, my peapod pulling boat. Each boat has unique handling characteristics and each is a joy to row. I diverged from the plans and built CHRISTABEL from 4mm ply instead of the specified 6mm ply, and stretched the design to 16 feet. As the photos show, this is a beautiful boat and I try to get out on the water at every opportunity to enjoy this boat.
