AECHMÉA

Emmanuel Alassoeur built this 14′ Périssoire from plans by François Sergent that appeared in 1944 in his book called Construction of Canoes and Kayaks. Emmanuel spent about four months building the hull, planking her with red cedar and building the deck from plywood. He launched AECHMÉA in May 2012 during La Fête du Nautisme at the Lake of Eguzon, near Chateauroux, France. He says that it is a perfect light boat for small rivers, and plans to paddle it on France's small and very small rivers. Emmanuel found it to be a simple boat to build and posted photographs of the construction of the boat on his blog. You can email Emmanuel at emmanuel.lespoissonsdesarbres@gmail.com.
