BLUE

Built in 1937 on Lake Union by the Seattle Shipwrights coop for the family that owned Alaska Copper and Brass and originally named Hella Bella. Her name was later changed to Taruga and she was modified from a gaff cutter to marconi. The boom and bowsprit were shortened. From 1992-1998 she received and extensive rebuild: new keel bolts, frames, floor timbers, mast step, engine mount, gaff, bowsprit, sails, standing and running rigging, engine, & interior. And she was renamed Blue.
