Gig Harbor BoatShop’s Introduction to Boat Lofting Workshop at the historic Eddon Boatyard

-

The best way to learn lofting is to do it! Join us for a three-evening workshop to learn about lofting tools, concepts, and techniques. At the end of the session, lofting what seemed mysterious, complex, and intimidating will be logical and enjoyable. The skills you learn can be applied to any boat design. Each workshop participant will loft a small dinghy. You’ll take home your work (drawn on a thin sheet of plywood), the workbook you used in the workshop, and a new appreciation for boat design. You will never look at boat plans the same way again! Wednesdays, April 13, 20, and 27 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. $150 for members, $175 for non-members. Fee includes all materials. Call (253) 857-9344 or email info@gigharborboatshop.org to register, or visit www.gigharborboatshop.org for more information. Advanced registration is required. An Intermediate Boat Lofting workshop will be offered in July.
