Indigenous People's Day History Sail

Join Hudson River Sloop Clearwater to commemorate Oct. 14 as Indigenous People’s Day with a sail on the sloop from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Before colonists settled the Hudson Valley, Indigenous People thrived here. Sadly, most of this history is not taught in school. Chief Vincent Mann of the Ramapough Turtle Clan and Evan T. Pritchard, professor of Native American history at Marist College and descendant of the Mi'kmaq people, will be on board sloop CLEARWATER to share valuable stories and lessons in history and culture of Indigenous people in the Valley.

Get your tickets before they sell out. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Ramapough Turtle Clan.
