Wantoo

Wantoo is designed by the Dutch designer Nol Twigt for the WoodenBoat Design Challenge III. The proa concept is choosen for simplicity and speed. Both inside and on deck there is a lot of room to live. A real double bed is unique inside a trailerable multihull. Other qualities of the concept are a sheltered place to sit outside and unlimited view in the leeward and forward direction. The main weight in the windward hull guarantees speed and stability.
Wantoo is designed for wood-epoxy ('stitch and glue'). Versions in polyester or even aluminium are also possible.
The rudders can rotate the full 360. They can be fixed in a straight position and the come up when they hit the ground.
If you want to purchase the plans of Wantoo (€ 250,- or $ 360,-) please contact Nol Twigt at gmail.
