Vik 89

Vik 89 is inspired from Cité d'Alet I to offer real cruising accommodation (standing headroom, double berths, saloon) and true passage making ability in a size and weight which can still be towed behind a car. She is fast to extend her range, do not heel, has huge deck space and shoal draft.

Long waterline length and semi-circle sections offer good cruising speed, easy tacking and damps pitching.

Safety is an essential feature of this design with adequate buoyancy in the ends, wide beam and she is unsinkable.

She easily takes the ground on her trouble-free low aspect-keels which protect the rudders. These keels NACA sections are faired into the hull curve of area.

She has a powerful rig, yet she is simple to handle with small headsails.

The large trampoline makes sail handling or sunbathing a pleasure while the hulls are well flared to increase accommodation.
