SIRENETTA

The SIRENETTA 300 is a mini kayak which has been conceived with the purpose of introducing youngsters to the pleasures of the paddle, but which, when necessary, may be used by adults. The length has been maintained within certain limits in order to allow its construction with a single 310 cm sheet of marine plywood, so as to avoid joints. The flat bottom and the reasonably large beam make it safe and suitable for beginner canoeists. The bottom has a moderate rocker so as to reach a compromise between manoeuvrability and directional stability. The plans are available also for the strip planking construction.
