1959 Thompson 17' Runabout

1959 THOMPSON 17’ SEA LANCER RUNABOUT Built for fun, and great memories from Thompson Boat – Cortland, New York. This classic has had only 3 owners over 64 years; for 59 of those she’s been pampered by me! Resulting in an “As Is” EXCELLENT CONDITION!! Powered by a 2004 50-hp Evinrude E-Tech outboard (< 150 hours) that’s equipped with a stainless Viper prop. She has a mahogany deck and gunwales – oak plywood strakes make up freeboard. The hull bottom has West System epoxy and 2 layers of glass coated with copper anti-fouling marine paint for that classic bronze color. Strakes are over an oak frame and through fastened with brass screws, washers, and nuts. All this yet she’s surprisingly light and will plane with ease. She’s trailered using a 1998 Magic-Tilt featuring an electric winch, stainless cable, mounted spare, and a steel lockbox. (for ease of storing there’s a trailer tongue hinge ready for install to save garage space). PLUS, with the deal there’s a “Treasure Trove” of parts & accessories! Partial list includes highlights like: full canvas boat cover, a fold down canopy, extra prop fenders, boat hooks, a Pro-Sport Marine charger, dock lines, VHF Marine radio with 8’ whip, electric and handheld bilge pumps, a telescoping boarding ladder and there’s even a manual for collected paperwork! Plus there’s a ‘bonus of a 6’ aluminum dock ladder too! All for a ‘negotiable’ $17,550. Do NOT miss this one! Contact me through Wooden Boat for more pix and that accessory list.
